The prophetess who died while praying in the bush
Social media users are surprised and disturbed by a horrific story that has gone viral: the body of a prophetess named Ebere, who was originally abducted and now leads a ministry in Owerri, has been discovered.
The prophetess went on a three-day fasting and prayer retreat in a neighbouring bush, and she and her prayer warrior group members vanished.

Other churchgoers reportedly became concerned when the group did not return at the end of the three-day session.
A few days later, the ministry allegedly got a call from unidentified individuals who said they had abducted the prophetess and her prayer team and demanded?20 million to free them.
The kidnappers reportedly demanded the whole money despite purported attempts at negotiation.
Social media stories claim that although churchgoers raised the funds and handed it to the kidnappers, the group never came back.
Additionally, according to the stories, several members of the congregation went into the jungle on their own initiative to look for the missing prophetess and prayer warriors.
While the other members are still missing, neither dead nor alive, they are said to have found Prophetess Ebere’s rotting corpses there.
As of this writing, neither local officials nor security services have released an official statement to verify the occurrence.
Despite Nigeria’s continuous security issues, the viral story has spurred discussions about individual safety and the dangers of prayer retreats in isolated locations.
