United Showbiz’s Broda Sammy Explodes at Kumchacha
When gospel singer Broda Sammy and Prophet Kumchacha squared off in a heated altercation that has now gone across Ghanaian social media, the United Showbiz stage burst into anarchy.
After Kumchacha publicly accused Broda Sammy of being a covert marijuana user, what had started out as a panel debate about morals and gospel entertainment swiftly devolved into a personal attack.

Hidden Truth TV later aired the video of the tense exchange, which took place during United Showbiz’s live broadcast on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The altercation has already gone viral, generating thousands of replies on social media and contentious discussions.
Broda Sammy, visibly outraged, wasted no time firing back at the prophet. Pointing straight at him, he shouted: “You are the weed smoker, not me!” His words stunned the studio audience and triggered loud reactions from both panelists and fans. He further accused Kumchacha of hypocrisy, suggesting that the prophet hides behind his clerical title while indulging in questionable activities that discredit the pulpit.
According to Broda Sammy, the accusations were a calculated attempt to destroy his hard-earned reputation. He challenged Kumchacha to provide evidence of his claims if he truly believed them. “If you say I smoke weed, bring proof. Don’t sit here and disgrace me on national television with lies,” he said furiously.
But Kumchacha did not back down. He maintained his position, stating that he had every cause to question Broda Sammy’s lifestyle, although avoiding specifics. Tensions on stage increased as a result of his composed yet uncompromising demeanour, which made it harder for the presenter to maintain order.
Since then, social media has seen waves of reactions to the altercation. Broda Sammy’s supporters have come out to defend him, claiming that his ministry and music career show that he is a man who is more concerned with sharing the gospel than doing narcotics. Kumchacha’s supporters, on the other hand, contend that the prophet might know more than he disclosed and that his statements shouldn’t be taken at face value.
Observers note that this is not the first public spat between the two outspoken personalities. Both Broda Sammy and Kumchacha are well known for controversial statements and dramatic confrontations. However, many say this episode crossed a line, dragging sensitive allegations into a public platform in a way that risks undermining the credibility of gospel music and religious leadership in Ghana.
For now, the war of words remains unresolved. Whether it will escalate into further public battles or eventually be settled behind closed doors is uncertain, but one thing is clear: the feud between Broda Sammy and Kumchacha has once again exposed the fragile intersection between religion and entertainment in Ghana.
