Provencal was picked up at the Kotoka International Airport by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO)

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has detained Edwin Provencal, the former CEO of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST).

Provencal was detained at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) while trying to board an aircraft out of the nation, according to Citi News.

As part of ongoing investigations into events that took place during his time at the corporation, he was put on a stop list. On Monday, November 10, he was allegedly arrested without obtaining the required authorisation while travelling to Maputo, Mozambique.

A former New Patriotic Party executive, John Boadu, also disclosed details of the arrest to Adom FM. The details of the investigation at BOST have not been made public.
