There is an unsettling stillness in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia state, as one Ms. Oluchi, a jilted lover, is said to have lit her ex-boyfriend on fire on his wedding day after learning that he was about to wed someone else after abandoning her.
Other locals were shocked by the tragedy that occurred on the evening of December 31, 2021, in Obohia, Ndiegoro axis.
After dating for more than eight years, eyewitnesses claim that the ex-boyfriend has secretly planned to marry another lady. After receiving the information, Oluchi called him over. When the ex-boyfriend arrived, Oluchi allegedly poured fuel on him and lit him on fire.
Struggling to survive, amidst the burns, the ex grabbed her, and both of them were burnt together.
Meanwhile, both of them are still alive, receiving 3rd degree burns.
