Abronye DC Was Arrested

IdeasGHOnline can now confirm that Kwame Baffoe, widely recognized as Abronye DC and the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been taken into police custody.

His arrest took place on September 8, following a decision by the authorities to detain him for questioning over certain developments.

Why Abronye DC Was Arrested – Full Details

Abronye DC was brought before the Accra Circuit Court earlier today. However, the court ordered that he be remanded into police custody, with a scheduled reappearance set for September 12 as investigations are actively ongoing.

Sources indicate that the arrest was triggered by actions allegedly disrupting public peace. Prior to his detention, Abronye had gone viral in an interview where he claimed his life was under serious threat.

He pointed fingers at the current administration under President John Dramani Mahama, stating that ever since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) came into office, he has felt unsafe.

He urged both Ghanaians and the international community to hold the President responsible if anything were to happen to him.
