In an effort to fortify national institutions and provide employment prospects for young people, President John Dramani Mahama has announced that 1,020 extra employees will be hired until the end of 2025.

The President underlined during his most recent engagement that the hiring campaign is a component of his larger plan to increase the capacity of public service and guarantee that vital economic sectors have the resources necessary to perform.

“This recruitment is not just about filling vacancies,” President Mahama noted. “It is about providing opportunities for our young men and women, and at the same time boosting productivity where the nation needs it most.”

Many job searchers and unemployed graduates are excited about the announcement because they regard it as a glimmer of light in a very competitive job market. Numerous young organisations have already begun to voice their excitement on social media, with many pleading with the government to guarantee equitable and open procedures throughout the exercise.

According to observers, the action will strengthen the President’s pledge of inclusive development and youth empowerment in addition to reducing the burden of unemployment.

As 2025 draws to a close, everyone will be watching to see how swiftly the hiring process proceeds and which industries stand to gain the most from the extra staff.
