Regarding the funeral arrangements, Daddy Lumba’s sister strongly warns “outsiders.”
The public has been warned not to meddle in the family’s burial plans by Ernestina Fosu, the older sister of the late Ghanaian highlife icon Charles Kwadwo Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba.
Speaking to the media on November 3, 2025, Ernestina insisted that no outside committee or individuals should be engaged in planning her brother’s funeral and that only members of the Fosu family should be involved.

Her remarks followed a polite visit to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II by her and other family members, including Kofi Owusu. Following the Asantehene’s invocation of an oath, the family had a private conversation with Otumfuo’s Saamanhene about the late musician’s autopsy and funeral arrangements.
Ernestina was upset that non-family members were trying to get involved in the funeral plans, calling this disrespectful during a time of grief.
“My family is the only people I need there because we lost a loved one. “I don’t need a committee of strangers to come and make fun of us while we’re grieving,” she remarked.
She further emphasised the need for unity within the family, adding that their focus should be on honouring Daddy Lumba’s memory with dignity.
“My brother has died, and I need people to console me, not to come and insult me. What we need is unity so that Charles can be laid to rest peacefully. There is no need for a committee because there is nothing they can do for me,” she added.
