EOCO Boss Supports Stonebwoy, Targeting Shatta Wale – Paul Yandoh Alleges

Paul Yandoh, a regional executive of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has suggested that the ongoing legal challenges faced by dancehall artist Shatta Wale are influenced by personal bias within the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

During an interview on Wontumi FM, Yandoh claimed that EOCO’s Executive Director, Raymond Archer, is a known supporter of Stonebwoy, who has long been considered a musical rival of Shatta Wale. He argued that this perceived allegiance might be contributing to actions that appear aimed at undermining the artist.

“Shatta Wale has worked hard to build his brand and reach his current status. It’s unfair to see him being targeted like this,” Yandoh stated. “When individuals achieve global recognition, the least we can do is support them—not subject them to unnecessary political frustration.”

He also referenced a recent incident involving Chairman Wontumi, pointing out that a GH¢50 million bail condition raised significant public concern, yet no meaningful response came from the authorities, even after Members of Parliament voiced objections.

According to Yandoh, this pattern of using state institutions to intimidate high-profile individuals is now being replicated in Shatta Wale’s case.

The musician’s legal issues with EOCO continue to generate public debate, with fans and industry stakeholders expressing mixed reactions.
