The President stated that the program was too important to be entrusted to untrained operators when he launched the project on Tuesday, September 16 at Afienya in Accra.

It has come to my attention that some wheelbarrow contractors are distributing projects under the Big Push. I’d like one. “This isn’t for wheelbarrow contractors,” I explain to my pal.

“You are my friend, but I won’t give it to you because it is not meant for wheelbarrow contractors,’” Mahama stated.

He clarified that in order to guarantee speed and efficiency, the government has carefully chosen seasoned domestic and foreign companies, many of which are now working on ongoing projects.

In order to prevent delays and guarantee completion, some contracts that were awarded before to the start of his administration have been repackaged under the program.

The Big Push is a flagship program created to expedite the development of the nation’s infrastructure and produce projects that will significantly influence Ghana’s economy in the long run.
