Patapaa: I will never ask Sarkodie for pardon because he is not God.

In a recent interview, the One Corner hitmaker once again attacked rapper Sarkodie, suggesting that the long-standing feud between Patapaa and Sarkodie is far from over.

The dispute began in 2018 when Sarkodie‘s verse on Ypee’s song Me Yɛ Guy contained what Patapaa deemed to be an offensive jab. “Had it not been for God blessing me with money, Patapaa would have performed at my burial service,” Sarkodie rapped in the verse.

The public backlash that has persisted for years was caused by Patapaa’s interpretation of the line as a personal assault.

Patapaa characterised Sarkodie as a regular human being who had no influence over his fate in passages from an interview with Nana Romeo that were posted on X on September 18, 2025. He emphasised that he owes the award-winning artist no apologies.

According to Patapaa,;

No one should tell me to apologise to Sarkodie because he is not God. He is the one who spoke against me, so why should I apologise to him? No one on earth can tell me to apologise to Sarkodie, and I will listen

He further explained that his success came through divine favour, not because of any individual’s support, and certainly not Sarkodie’s. “Sarkodie didn’t make me a star; it is God who made me who I am today,” he insisted.

“I hate nonsense,” Patapaa, who identified himself as descended from a royal lineage, continued. I will not tolerate it when you speak negatively about me.

The musician further asserted that his conflict with Sarkodie was the reason why some media personalities had been ignoring his music.
