Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian singer who has won awards, has talked candidly about her previous relationship with a male coworker in the music business who insisted on keeping their romance quiet while publicly entertaining other women.
Tiwa recently talked about the emotional toll it took on her.
It’s disrespectful, no. He is a public figure, just like myself. “Oh my God, I hope he doesn’t,” she murmured, regretting the way things had turned out.
By saying he didn’t want anybody to know about their relationship, the man allegedly persuaded Tiwa to keep quiet about it.
“So he did this thing where he’s just like, I don’t want us to go public because I don’t want people to know and all that kind of stuff.
“So I’m like, okay, cool. Then it was like, okay, when we go out, I might be talking to other people, but I’m just doing it so people don’t suspect. And I was like, okay, but how far are you going with this?”
The singer explained that while she respected his wish for privacy, she began to notice behavior that left her feeling humiliated, especially during public events.
“Yeah, and we might be in the same event, and he’s working the room.
“Yeah, probably talking, rubbing, and I’m there, and he’s still looking at me like, I’m just doing it. And I can’t say nothing. I mean, you can’t. And it’s in front of me,” Tiwa revealed.
