A bunch of irate Ghanaians have protested against Nigerians staying in Ghana by taking to the streets.

The mob of Ghanaians who stormed the streets in viral footage made it clear that Nigerians should leave the nation immediately. A young woman, whose true identity is unknown, said during the demonstration that Nigerians and other nationals should leave the country.

She threatened to take the law into her own hands and deal with the Nigerians as best she could, highlighting the detrimental repercussions of their stay in Ghana.

“Nigerians and other nationalities, if you are here illegally, you must leave the country. You must leave Ghana. Ghana is not safe. We will deal with you people in our own way”, she said.

“Ghana is not a land for you to pour libations,” said Dr. Hassan Ayariga, the APC’s leader. Don’t pour libations on our land. Stop doing that right now.

They do not despise Nigerians, but their presence in Ghana is creating a lot of issues, according to another man who was heavily involved in the demonstration.

According to him, following the arrival of Nigerians in Ghana through illegal means, the crime rate in Ghana continues to escalate to an extremely worrisome level.

“We do not hate Nigerians, you understand? But what some of them are doing is an eyesore. When you get to circle, Ashawo business is now common, among other evil bedeviling acts”, he said.
